Sometimes I think writing is like hopping on a roller coaster. There’s ups and downs. You might be rushing toward the sky one second, and then plummet to the ground the next.
I hit a writer’s block in 2021 and my writing habits vanished. A little “break” turned in to week after week of not working on that novel. Besides, I was completely dedicated to Parables Magazine.
Some of my students at the time would ask about when the next book for Souled was coming out. Those moments would spark my inspiration, but I still had to wrangle through that block.
Lately I have had more time to dedicate to writing and that old familiar feeling is slowly resurrecting. I still have a ton of work to do with the sequel, but I am committing myself to at least an hour a day on the project. Just like my readers, I’m anxious to see how Ethan and his team survive this next journey.

In the meantime, I have revamped the website and included a store. If you want an autographed copy, order it here.
What this experience reminded me of was how much I loved writing and that it’s time to get back to work. Have you ever had a bad case of “writer’s block”? What was your most successful way of dealing with it?
